I've missed you!

It’s been a few weeks since my last email, and I wanted catch up with you. Life got a bit hectic with a surge of freelance projects (I manage digital marketing for several small businesses) and some personal matters that needed attention, which made it tough to find time to write. The good news? Most of that work is now behind me, so I’m back in action.

While most of my time away was spent working on this or that, I did manage to attend the San Antonio Twitch Community Meetup hosted by @kiwisnstars and @twitchsatx. They did such a great job putting together a fun event.

I’ve never been to a Twitch meetup before so this was a new experience for me. I’ll often tweet about how much I miss streaming on Twitch, but I don’t think I really felt it until participating in this community gathering.

I miss talking to other gamers / streamers.

I miss finding joy in shared interests.

I miss feeling a part of a larger community.

The meetup filled a small gap that has been missing since I stopped streaming over a year ago now. I really needed that.

While I was there, I got a chance to share a little bit about this newsletter and I think a few new friends even signed up! If you’re a SATX meetup attendee and are reading this, HELLO AND THANK YOU!

I learned that the local Twitch community in San Antonio has been pretty dormant since COVID in 2020. Yeah, humans gathered in a poorly ventilated room and COVID are not a great combination. Now that they are back, I’m looking forward to future events!
