Happy Tuesday, Streamers!

Did you catch the new Fallout TV show over the weekend?

Despite some initial skepticism about Amazon's adaptation, it has garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews and rekindled interest in the game franchise. We all remember the lukewarm reception of Fallout 76 back in 2018, but the buzz online suggests gamers are now diving back into the nostalgia of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.

To celebrate the show's launch, there are plenty of tie-in promotions. GrubHub is offering a special Nuka-Blast Burger meal for a limited time in select areas, Amazon Prime is featuring several Fallout titles on their cloud gaming platform Luna, and Fallout 76 is currently free on Xbox and the Microsoft Store. Additionally, Elgato has introduced Fallout-themed assets in its Marketplace for StreamDeck.

Venba, Hi-Fi Rush and Baldur’s Gate 3 Win At This Year’s BAFTA Game Awards

This year, the 20th annual BAFTA Games Awards were held. It is an annual Award Show that began in 2004 and celebrates games that had “outstanding creative achievement”. The BAFTA Awards offers a variety of categories including: Animation, Debut Game, Evolving Game, Multiplayer, Music, Narrative, and more…

The Awards were held on April 11, 2024 and showcased a variety of games that exhibited outstanding creativity in 2023. Many games were nominated during the show, with some being nominated for multiple categories.

The winners for the 2024 BAFTA Awards are as follows:

Let’s  take a moment to focus on a lesser known game. Venba won BAFTA’s category for Debut Game and has overwhelmingly positive reviews. It is an indie game that was developed and published by Visai Games, a small studio based in Toronto, and centers on an Indian family that migrates to Canada. The game takes place in the 1980s and players have the opportunity to “cook various dishes and restore lost recipes, hold branching conversations and explore in this story about family, love, loss and more.” Check out the launch trailer here.

The Feudies Highlight Members of the Twitch Community

The BAFTAs wasn’t the only award show that took place this past week. The Feudies shined a spotlight on standout talent from the Gamers Feud shows and broader content creator community. The Feudies is an incredibly inclusive award show allowing anyone to nominate their favorite creators regardless of numbers. Watch The VOD
